For the past 11 years, Jacques Barrett has been performing stand-up comedy all over the place. This Australian comic has now established himself as an International headliner.
In 2013 he entertained audiences around the country, and now he brings his The Contrarian: Part Deux to this years Sydney Comedy Festival.
He has already received rave reviews.
With Time-Out describing him as Damn Impressive. The Herald Sun describing him as Clever...A Genuine Talent. And The West Australian...Impeccable comic timing.
When I asked Jacques himself why you should check out his show he responded with:
"See this show because it's one of the only true stand up comedy shows in the festival. It's got balls, and it calls the world on its bulls*** and equips the audience with the tools to attack the powers that be.
There's hundreds of nice fluffy life affirming shows on at the festival, you could go enjoy their narrative arc and feel-good message, or you can come see a man take a dump on a moral compass for an hour.
There you have it. If you are looking for something to do this weekend, he is a definite must see:
