Best 3 Places to Walk Your Dog in Sydney
Fido loves it when you take him for a walk full-stop. Even an energetic pup will love you forever if you take him/her for a walk at any one of these top three places in Sydney. Am definitely writing from personal experiences here.
1. The Bay Run - Inner West
The Bay Run can start anywhere in the Inner West if you happen to be living in and/or visiting the following Sydney suburbs to name:
Rozelle
Drummoyne
Five Dock
Lilyfield
This 7km route starts and finishes where it starts and finishes for you. I occasionally walk the families one-year old King Charles Cavallier puppy, and even though he is exhausted by the end, he loves walking around
the bay in particular. In fact, even so much that it appears to be the case that he is now starting to
take me for a walk.
This dog-friendly walking trail has a couple of water bubblers along the way, as well as beautiful water views. On the weekends, this walking trail is naturally busy, and your dog will be more interested in other dogs than with other leisurely athletes. Walk here (say) on a leisurely Thursday afternoon, and your dog will be lucky to
socialise with two other dogs max.
2. Sydney Park
The popular park at St Peters, and not far from Newtown either. This park is spacious for all, where many fitness events are held here. Many dog owners take their dogs for a walk here. Definitely an abundance of dogs, especially on a Saturday and/or Sunday morning. There is plenty of grassed areas for them to chase a tennis ball and/or each other to name. Doggy paradise lives here, and will not leave the building any time soon.
3. Brighton Beach to Sandringham
The Brighton Beach (at Brighton-Le-Sands) to Sandringham walk is a perfect, leisurely walking destination for the dog and it's respective owner. It is no different to walking from Manly Beach to Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve in Manly - there are water views all the way. The Brighton to Sandringham walk comes more highly recommended as it's not as busy.
Other dog-friendly walks in Sydney include Bondi to Tamarama, as well as walking the dog in Primose Park. Enjoy that quality time with fido.
As in the picture above, you can see that the King Charles is so tired after all that walking, lying down near some of my things at the family home in the Inner West - my 2nd home.
