Daiso Westfield Parramatta

Delightful garden gnomes here

The last time I visited Parramatta was for a business appointment about six months ago. Spending a leisurely Sunday afternoon at Westfield Parramatta was a good proposition, and on that I've noticed another Daiso store having opened up in Sydney.

You may be familiar with this Japanese beauty and convenience supermarket, if you must call Daiso such. The trend started in Melbourne, and quickly landed on Sydney's shores with many essential items, all retailing at only $2.80 each.

As you may not have already noticed, purple is my favourite colour, and the Daiso brand is all about the colour purple. The staff at their Parramatta store are friendly, and considering how busy they were, the service was brilliant. Their purple shirts remind us that all items in store are only $2.80 each. They're smart to place stationery and travel items right near the entrance. Walk on the right hand side, and you will find some beautiful stationery and travel essentials.

Wow, umbrellas for 2.80 each too. The home of Sydneys cheapest brollies.

If you find it a challenge (even in a great supermarket) to find small, re-useable bottles for your shampoo, body wash and conditioner when travelling for business or for leisure; be relieved to discover that you will find an abundance of them here in different shapes and sizes.

If you want to give you storage solutions more of a life at home, it's all great news. Correct, you're literally home and hosed here. Daiso at Westfield Parramatta is also a great place to buy some stationery and drawing items for the kids too. They sell a different range of textas and crayons to name.

For the kids

Come here fairly well fed, and you will be in the mood to shop and to endure the crowds simultaneously. It can be so easy to impulse buy here, especially considering that each item is only $2.80. Buy what you need, and you won't go overboard.

This is exactly what I did. I really needed some make up removal pads, and I only needed one packet. No joke, this packet of 50 will easily last me a couple of months. They're generously sized and quite soothing on the face when removing some creamy foundation, and when applying some toner to the face.

Very happy with my simple purchase

Keep moving through the store, and you will find other handy items for the home such as tea towels, cooking equipment and gardening items to only name a few. Am really surprised at the range of the selections available.

Might be a good idea to come in and browse once, and then come back a second time with a list to make purchases. Food wise, you can also buy some of those apple jellies, and green tea too. $2.80 feels like a bargain, and all of us here at Sydney Fun love coming across such great deals.

Bliss at parra

One of the largest Daiso stores in Sydney, and you can even buy a cute, plastic, floral umbrella for only $2.80 here too.

Rating: 9/10

Where: Level 3, Westfield Parramatta.
Why: Beauty products, stationery, travel goods and handy (also necessary) items for the home.
Cost: Only $2.80 each.
When: During Westfield Parramatta trading hours, of which have recently been extended too.

Good for kids: Yes. They may lose their patience if you take your time inside this large store. Ensure they're content with an ice cream and/or some candy prior. I give this category another yes as Daiso sell some great drawing and colouring in items for the kids too.

Daiso at Westfield Parramatta also put on some fun events for the littles ones. Recently they put on an Easter egg hunt, and an Easter craft workshop. Be in the know on events like these.
