Dusk Homewares Rhodes Shopping Centre

Anywhere I go in Sydney where there is a Dusk outlet, I love it. Then again, I love candles and nice smelly things for the home too. So does the majority of Sydney. I've been to Dusk at Penrith, Bondi Junction; and to the one at Macquarie Centre as well as at Rhodes Shopping Centre. Don't know why, however, my gut instincts always drive me to the one at Rhodes.



Must I say, the service at their Rhodes store is outstanding. Their window displays are always professional and inviting. This particular Dusk store is right near IKEA on level 1 at the Rhodes Shopping Centre on Rider Boulevard.



Dusk manufacture their candles in Perth. As at the time of writing this, I particularly loved the cupcake candles at the front as you head in to more aromatherapy paradise. Soft musical tones, and a few incense sticks would definitely be burning.



You easily head towards the back of the store, and the vases are just glorious. You feel in a trance like state. The shopping frame of mind is enjoyed, and it is really difficult to leave without a purchase.



At the front counter, I was in awe and amazement when I saw two pots of candles on sale for only $40. Upon further looking into this, I found out that this particular product is a discontinued line. These candles are infused with generous amounts of lavender aromas, and they're designed to help you sleep more effectively at night. Looking at these two jars in one of the images herein, you'd have to agree that pretty good value is enjoyed - two for only $40 again.



The product knowledge from the staff here is amazing, and a lot of TLC is prominent when it comes time to wrap up the treats. A brochure with care instructions and other product lines was most welcome, and a really good read on the train back home.



This is a clean, friendly and inviting store. I highly recommend it for your candle fix in particular.

Why: Candles at great prices, and for other home ware items.
Cost: Grabbed two candles for only $40, plus the staff member also trimmed the wicks for me for free. Awesome service, and this was something I did not request/ask for her to do for me either.
When: When in need of some more candles for the home.



Good for kids: No. The big kids will appreciate it more.
