Westfield Hurstville

Westfield Hurstville

Posted 2014-05-03 by Justine Crowleyfollow

A rather quaint and small Westfield Shopping Centre in suburbia. Busy suburbia nonetheless, as you have Hurstville train station right across the road for beginners. Welcome to .

This shopping centre has an old school feel, and is not designed to compete with luxe such as the Westfield's at Bondi Junction, Chatswood and Parramatta to name either. Not as largesse...just a functional family friendly local shopping centre.

It is stunning to see an abundance of food outlets catering to all. It appears to be the case that there are food outlets in larger proportions (sorry, terrible pun) than genuine places to go shopping in. On my last visit to my own backyard, I was bored after an hour. Although, I am looking forward to Top Juice opening up here soon, as at the time of writing this.

Stay for an hour, and you're content. Grab a bite to eat first. There is a functional Myer store in the complex, and this particular Myer outlet is a perfect oasis for busy parents to buy clothes for their child/children at the lowest possible level. I love a cool candy store that has been around for three years, and their pay by weights are pretty cheap. Other than that, I want to get out of here.

Do not write off this shopping centre just yet. Why? This place is the perfect place to get your nails done, as well as get any kind of beauty treatment from waxing to facials. There are an abundance of nail and beauty salons to choose from with quality service provided. From what I know, the prices are pretty good for such services in this shopping space here too. The latter verdict is also true to form for any mobile phone accessory. A perfect place to enjoy an acupuncture treatment or three combined. Abundance. Pampering, who would say no.

Otherwise, there are a few stores where you can buy some quality items for the home. Otherwise not much else. Thursday night live comprises of some live music to keep you entertained late night shopping. Yes its free. This event is held every Thursday night from 6pm, right near Subway on level 2.

Movie goers, Greater Union is upstairs. Otherwise this shopping centre has a range of clothes and accessories for the kids too.

This place is busy, even on a weekday. Imagine how chock a block this shopping centre would be on the weekends. Leave this shopping centre alone for busy families only. If you want to go fashion shopping, I'd gladly recommend other shopping centres for you to venture out at.
