Cronulla Esplanade Walk
Clear water, beautiful beaches and spectacular views are just a few of the features that the Cronulla Esplanade has to offer.
The beginning of the walk at Wanda Beach highlights some of the spectacular views that Cronulla has to offer
The walk itself can be accessed at numerous locations, with many people starting from Wanda beach, the most northerly patrolled beach along the Cronulla stretch. Although if you are looking for a longer walk, I would suggest starting just north of Wanda at Green hills Beach.
North Cronulla Beach is just one of the many access points to the Esplanade
With a distance of 4.3 kilometres, the walk along the Esplanade is relatively easy with few steep inclines. I would definitely recommend this walk for those looking for a leisurely outdoor activity. It is also a great activity for families.
Along the way, there are many parks and multiple beaches, for those who need a break or for anyone looking for a place to have a picnic with kids or equipment for them to play on.
Play equipment can be found at a number of locations along the Esplanade
The end of the walk is marked by Bass and Flinders point. A beautiful spot to stop and take in the stunning views and a little bit of history, with plaques providing information on this southern most point of Cronulla.

Numerous cafe's are situated along the esplanade, and it is only a short walk to the centre of the Cronulla mall if you are looking for more variety.
For anyone looking for a bit more of a challenge, try running the length of the esplanade, but be careful; on the weekends the footpaths can get very crowded with locals getting in their daily exercise.
One of the few steep inclines along the Esplanade Great to run up for those wanting a harder work out.
