Sydneysiders looking to rectify a grumbling stomach on a Sunday afternoon are invited to sample the culinary wares at the .



The Inner West suburb's weekly market has a generous selection of ready to eat food and fresh produce.

If you happen to be nearby, it's a great place to visit. The leafy venue makes for a relaxing atmosphere with a true community feel.



Food on offer ranges from baked goods to German Bratwurst.

I sampled the pork belly from the Bratwurst stand - it was a delicious, tender, flavourful mid-afternoon snack.



The produce on offer is well priced (better value than many local grocers) and extremely fresh.



There's also some non-food market regulars like vintage clothing stalls, crafts and booksellers - worth a quick browse when walking off a filling lunch.



Musicians frequent the market as well, offering an accompanying soundtrack to veg shopping.

The obligatory bouncy castle is inviting for families with kids, and the Facebook page does advertise pony rides, but no ponies were spotted on the day.

If it's a laid back Sunday you're looking for, is a lovely venue.

Why: Good for a lazy Sunday afternoon snack and organic produce shopping.
Cost: Free entrance. Meals for around $10, and the organic produce is reasonably priced.
